D H Brent Intermediate School Reviews
Quality Score: 3 Post Date:2007-02-05
“Overall Brent is a good school. My son who is in 5th grade there, enjoys going to school, but he wishes there were more extracurricular activities. My issue is with the teachers. What more can a parent do? I am an involoved parent, and a monthly newsletter is simply not enough for me.” This review was posted by a parent.

“The school is a good school, but I have big concern over the idea that there are some classes which have to share books. I know it is a growing district, but really this is not a good idea for long term.” This review was posted by a parent.

“I am very happy to have my child at Brent Intermediate School. The music program is top notch and I feel students are given many extra opportunities to grow and excel.” This review was posted by a parent.

“I've had children attending D.H. Brent since the 2001-02 school year (they were still 3-6 at that time). During that time I've been able to see how well the teachers and staff work together and how much they care for our children. There has been tremendous growth for the school and the community. Having seen how they deal with the many growing pains, like something as simple as where & how our children are to be dropped off at school in the morning & picked up later that afternoon, you can tell how they work together. The school offers many ways our children can grow - clubs (from computer, radio, kindness, etc.), rewarding reading (through Reading Counts), a show choir, a dance team, 6th grade band, opportunities to attend UIL events and science fairs. The teachers and staff are also available and approachable. The biggest drawback is that parent involvement could be much greater. Whenever there are extracurricular activities, its usually the same parents who have volunteered.” This review was posted by a parent.
